Tv-premiere: KÄLLMANS KVAL

Our new documentary KÄLLMANS KVAL (finnish title Källmanin koitokset) airs this Thursday (28.10.2010) on YLE-FST5 at 21.00 and Saturday at 16.55.

The 30 minute film is a portrait of the legendary handboll player Mikael Källman, once regarded as one of the top players in the world. In 2009 Källman was appointed head coach for the Finnish national team, and the documentary follows him during his first world cup qualification campaign in January 2010. The film contains amazing archive clips from Källmans playing career, both in Finland and in the German Bundesliga. Källmans kval is essentially a study of what goes on behind the scenes of a handball team during a high stakes tournament. The viewer is invited to explore what goes on in the mind of the coach, how he tries to achieve his goals and deals with the pressure.

Making of shortfilm FUNKTION27 Day1

Oskar took these pics of me shooting the first rolls of Super8-film for our new short documentary project "Funktion27". The film features an artist who has specialised in mobile kinetic sculptures. Our goal is to have the film finished by the end of the year and available at festivals in 2011.

Making of UFO-documentary Day4&5

Day 4&5 of shooting took place in Pohjanmaa, aka Botnia Orientalis. This picture was taken in Pietarsaari by the famous local ufologist "Mr Mike". The bathtub on the left witnessed a UFO 19 years ago(how strange indeed). Our Cinematographer JP is stuck in a tree, while Oskar and me are relaxing below.

The second picture features me and Mr Mike in front of his very cool vehicle. JP is framing a shot of Mr Mikes garage.

Making of UFO-documentary Day1

Welcome to our new blog. Here you can stay updated on what goes on in the world of 4KRS. We start off with some behind the scenes -pictures from the first day of shooting our UFO-documentary. Enjoy!

Shooting finally began on september 9th with a rowing scene outside Kaivopuisto in Helsinki. The legendary scifi-artist/kite-o-tect "Mr OK" is transporting himself to his studio by boat. It was a beautiful day (too beautiful for Werner Herzog), and we managed to shoot some very interesting footage!
